The owner said that "if you can't make it on 71st Street, then you have management issues" and now their 71st location seems to be closed. I got no answer on the 71st phone number (but it wasn't disconnected) and called the Cherry St location and got no answer their either..

Anyone know what happened?

I don't know about other people, but shortly after it became Jazmo's on Cherry Street my wife and I ate there twice within a couple of weeks. The food quality was poor and the prices had been raised.

We swore never to go back. I'm guessing more people did the same.

I wasn't impressed with the food at their 71st location, although I've always been pleased when eating at the Cherry St location.

I checked their website and they only list 3 locations:  Cherry Street, OKC and Amarillo.

Rowdy

I ate their twice.  Each time I noticed they had hardly any business.  They hired someone to play some brass along 71st to drum up business.  It didn't help.  Each time I ordered the Catfish and it was horrible.

Breadburner

It sucks and has for a long time....Use to be a great place to get some grub.....

I noticed they were closed on Saturday night.

That location on 71st has the kiss of death for some reason.  Tony Roma's didn't make it there either.

You know who has good catfish, Caz's Chowhouse.  It's been a while since I've been there, but everything seems pretty good especially for the price.

Tony Roma's didn't make it because the food was terrible - they kept giving it away. The last couple of times I ate there, I had lunch and ordered a BBQ chicken sandwich. Is it too much to expect that the sandwich NOT HAVE BONES IN IT?

The service there could also be bad at times. It was only a matter of time before it closed.

I've only dined at Jazmo's once, at the 71st Street location, and it was OK, but not worth much trouble.

And that BBQ place just to the west that closed never had any help! They'd have a 45+ minute wait, but half the restaurant was EMPTY! I asked why we were waiting when 40% of the tables were empty, and they said they didn't have anyone to wait those tables.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand why people quit going to eat there...

If you want good Catfish go to The Lazy Fisherman in Bixby....or if you feel like a drive go to Skinny's in Sallisaw. Of course it may not be named Skinny's when you get there. The name changes on a regular basis depending on if Skinny and his wife are currently married or divorced. If you can't find it just ask a local and they will point you in the right direction.

I used to eat at Bourbon Street on 15th all the time.  Went to Jazzmo's for the first time a couple months ago, and didn't like the food.  I wasn't sure if the food had changed, or my tastes did.  After reading this thread, I'm thinking it was the food!

the reason for the kiss of death is because it doesnt have direct access to the road.  that shopping area is poorly lined out and you have to drive all the way to the back and pull back upto the parking for the place.  It sucks.

Jazmos? Never heard of them till this thread.

Had the exact same experience.  Exactly.

Jazmo's = Bourbon Street Cafe (they got bought out or something)

Reminds me of what happened with St. Michael's Alley.  St. Mike's used to be one of my favorite restaurants, and now the new management is running it into the ground.  I was there about a month and a half ago, and the food tasted nothing like what it had been before.

I hate it when great local restaurants get taken over by new unqualified management.
