"Dog bites man" stories don't seem to resonate as much as "Man bites dog" stories do.

It's propably more a factor of what piques viewer interest than some liberal-conservative agenda.

Again, a matter of sensationalism. I mean, even Fox News does some reporting from Hollyweird and passes it off as "Hard Hitting News."

Incidentally, it's curious to learn that Fox's best-known anchor, Shepard Smith, put in a little time at Fox's A Current Affair, the standard by which tabloid TV is judged.

Natalie is such a talent they are all scared of her! She is easily one of the most beuatiful, humble,  and girl next door type - regular people (with CIA training at the "Farm") of all women in the area. (I know; I look at them all)
Natalie Sentz ROCKS! Golf clap for Natalie!!!!
Did I say she was/is the under used weapon of KJRH?

I wish she (Natalie) would help me spell better.

While TulsaNow forumgoers are fan of Ms. Sentz, the feeling is not mutual as she has stated this before:

I can at least say I was absolutely right when telling others why I didn't believe Tulsa Now was anything but a bunch of goof-off's with no working knowledge of the field and too much time on their hands... not working.

Let's try to talk a bit more about news programs and a little less about the on-air staff.

Getting a wee bit obsessed, aren't we?

As long as we're wishing....

I wish Natalie would go out with me.

Local news is terrible...but as long as Natalie Sentz is still on KJRH I will continue to watch.

Who is Natalie Sentz?

The picture doesn't do her justice.

I've met her a couple of times out in public and she is beautiful.

The love of my life. Just don't tell my wife.

Ever notice whenever you see your local TV people out in public and they just seem different somehow?

I'll elaborate. Regardless if I'm in Tulsa, New Orleans, and the Biloxi area, I may see an anchor or reporter out in the community, and there seems to be a bit of the star-trip in the way they carry themselves, that they're apparently uncomfortable doing the things we as the general public do on a daily basis (grocery shopping, eating out at a restaurant, whatever).

I hear ya on the Hollywood stuff.
What happened to Casey Norton on KOTV?

Are you talking about the fox cable news channel?  Comparing that to the local fox affiliate's news  operation is like comparing apples to oranges.
You can get national news anywhere 24/7, but people will still wait up for the local news.

I'm referring to Fox News Channel. Although I'm not yet residing in Tulsa full-time (I'm making preparations for the event even as we speak), I've seen Fox23's news when I've visited-even see some of it on the Net. It's not half bad for local news, though I can't yet comment on how good or bad it is at the moment (because I'm still in Biloxi). It's obviously not yet a Fox Owned and Operated station, doesn't take its marching orders from Roger Ailes, which is not a bad thing.

Fox News Channel, well, considering that its parent company owns tabloids galore: if it's not shilling its biased point of view for the politicians and policies it tacitly endorses, it does tend towards tabloidistic sensationalism-the latter all news has denigrated into in one degree or another.

I agree Natalie Sentz is adorable. You just have to get up at the butt crack of dawn to see her. Channel 2 by far has the best looking female reporters.

Well, I saw KJRH over the past few days after coming back, and there's a reporter Marlo something or other that seems to have looks and talent to match.

In regards to Casey Norton, he went to Seattle back in September. He is the lead anchor for the weekend news on their ABC affiliate.

In fact, looking at the majority of the talent pool on each of the stations' newscasts, I think it's fair to assume that they are all destined to move to bigger TV markets and even to national broadcasting.
