Cold... so cold! (those without power)

Just thought I would take a roll call of those without power.  I realize the irony of doing so on a machine that requires power... but many/most people have internet at work.  So anyway.  Incidentally my office has no power - but we got a generator hooked up.

I remain without power at my house near 28th and Louisville.  Most of my area appears to be.  I have a fireplace and gas stove so I'm keeping it about 55 (stove on/off for extra heat now and then).

I spent the last 2 days chainsawing 28th St. clear, so if you live near there you can thank me by giving coffee to any utility crew you see!  I burned ~2.5 gallons of gas in my little chainsaw.  I had neighbors who had cars crushed, roofs smashed, and many fences squished.  I think I met JNE as I was thinking of clearing another limb (it was sagging and not broken upon closer inspection so I let it be).

I got VERY used to the creeeeeek, crunch crunch SNAP ::silence:: rustle rustle CRASH!  Unbelievable.

Anywho, looking for some comradery with anyone else still lacking 20th Century amenities.

Prattville area, Hwy 97 and 41st.  Still nothing, really looks like next week before we will see power, thankful for friends who have been letting me, hubby (whose mostly working) and two kids bunk up.  Added more kids to the fold today, their gas fireplace quit working so they had NO source of heat.  Not fun at all!

No power.  Generator for 1 fridge and one lamp.  Gone through all of my wood that I can burn this year.  Guess I'll have to start on the green stuff.

Have power at my office... so much for "not working on the North Side."  There are more power trucks on the N. Side than my neighborhood.

Still cold at my house.

I'm on the B.A. side Inteller that may be why.
Spoon, you are lucky to have a generator but, I don't think this is a good time to run out of firewood. Saw some on craigslist today.
stay warm, cyndezu

T-Town Now

No power at 81st and Toledo, although all the commercial businesses in the area seem to have been on for days.

Apparently the residential customers are at the end of the line, according to someone I know whose son works for PSO.

3rd and Columbia has no power.  Traffic lights back on at 11th and Delaware this morning.  It's moving closer!

The Greens (BA side) has had power since Tuesday.  I imagine Millicent Crossing (Tulsa) got it then too.
