What is this crap?!?

There was a group of 18-20 years olds that walked the I beams in the construction phase in building the bomber plant in the Wwll.

Had OSHA existed at that time we would still be debating if the miles of I beams had to have a life line attached as it was 42 feet above the floor.   The war would have come and gone without the plant ever being built.

This TV program is an example of showing people (I don't know if the word is allowed) do manual labor called physical WORK.
Today we stand in ecstasy and view that we build today'
Tomorrow we will enter into the plea to have it torn away.

Shadows, I see people do actual work daily.  Dangerous work.  But it is done safely and without playing around.

Riding the block is not work.  Waving running chainsaws around for the camera is not work.  Failure to wear eye protection is not work.

I appreciate risks that are taken to get the job done, but I also know what laziness, showing off, and horseplay is.  Lets not confuse those two categories.  I imagine the guy is more safety conscious than he lets on (or he wouldn't be in business), but his on camera showing off seems a bit over the top.

/recycled discussion, sorry.

Wow, some people are so judgemental! Can you not watch the show and be entertained by what they are doing with out being immediately critical? I think the show is pretty fascinating! GEROME KENNEDY IS SEXY! Haha! Anyways, the show starts tapeing for season 2 next week and yes it is going national, and I do know Mr Nosak personally so I do know what Im talkin about.

Wow, want a cookie[8)] Noask is suffering from Napoleon syndrome and that is great that he has enough money to do another craptastic show, but I'd rather watch time-lapsed footage of my **** disintegrating in the toilet. He will probably rent out a bar on Brookside again so people can come and bask in his glory.

ARGUS

two words: dude Rocket.
No class dirty equipment, OSHA violating dude ROCKET.
Disgust; please if you succed Nosak please tell them you are fom anywhere but OKLAHOMA.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread but anybody thinking of hiring these guys, if the show didn't change your mind know this:

The one on the show with the long goatee and I think his brother (who I've never seen on the show) show up at a certain bar a lot wearing their Nosak shirts. They will, every time they are around, without fail try to start a fight with someone or someones there. They have earned the nickname "the fight brothers".

The non-goatee one was telling me one time about his daughter being born the day before (and he's at the bar??) 5 minutes later he's being true to form and trying to start a fight.

Last time I saw them they were playing pool and a missed shot resulted in one of them breaking the cue against the table. Not the kind of people I want around my house.

Haha, The bio on the website for the goatee one lists his favorite magazine as "High Times". How professional.

Let me tell you about Paul Nosak star of Nosak Raw.

Paul has done just about every important tile roof in Tulsa, including mine.

After 9/11 and the subsequent bust, Paul lost over $1M in business and shelled out of roofing (for the most part) into his current tree business.  Bet he made out pretty well this past winter.

Last year before the launch of Nosak Raw, Paul told me that if he didn't give his reality show a shot, he would always regret it.

I just talked with him recently on some unrelated business and he has a production company out of LA handling his show now.

When I first met Paul he was a bit dazed due to a recent motorcycle accident, and his pants were drooping as he crawled around my roof.  What can I say except that this amounted to a picture of total charm and I hired him.

I've watched his show and I have to say that it needs a bit more jiggle and then it would be at least as popular as "This Old House" was back when that foxy blonde man was there.

Paul has personality +.  He is a real go getter and unlike most Tulsans doesn't need his parents' permission to breathe.

Here's a local boy putting serious money into a local show that's trying to go national.  Instead of talking about the Tulsa that could be, he's living it.  That's what this crap is all about.

Go Nosak.  You're a prince among lesser beings.

Good post, Hometown.

I'd probably much rather swig a beer with Nosak than some yuppie who lives in a Bixby McMansion.

Good for you, however those of use who actually live in the real world, aren't quite so judgemental. If you dont like the show, dont watch, but that doesn't mean there is anything wrong with people who do like it and watch it. And just FYI it got really good rateings! So apparently there are quite a few people who do like it.
Good post Hometown, I agree, Paul is a good guy, and hes worked hard for what he has.

Well come to think of it he does have a big mouth and needs a good spanking -- but I still admire his spunk.

Would someone please post some pictures of Mr. Nosak and his brawny crew.  Calling all fans of Nosak Raw.  Does anyone have pictures and a listing of when his show is on and what channel?  I want everyone to see what all the fuss is about.
