FUJI....been going there for over 25 years. Never had an issue.
Nobo brought it here first.

I forgot the name of the restaurant but it is in the strip center behind the Toys R Us at 71st and Memorial. The restaurant is between the military recruiting offices, Next to a Coney Islander.  It's GOOD.

That would be Ashi (I think that's how it's spelled).  Outstanding sushi at half the price of Fuji!

I don't eat raw fish. Even my dog won't eat raw fish, and I have seen him eat dog poop.

Memories of Japan in Broken Arrow.  Asahi is ok, but they lack the variety MOJ provides.

Where is that?  I'd like to try it!

Seriously.  Sushi Train's actual sushi wasn't the most sterling, but to get to select your roll from a moving flatbed train car really is something not to be missed.

Sushi Train all the way!

I am a wuss, I prefer rolls to sashimi (that's the slab of raw fish, right? Its a texture issue).  I understand to purists this is a waste of good fish, but I'm from Iowa.  Sorry.

HOWEVER, the Sushi at "The Train" is really good.  Should you desire sashimi you can order it as with anywhere else (or rolls, the train is not mandatory). My friends that are connoisseur gave it a passing grade.  There is less wait and cheaper prices.  And of course, a train.

However, there is also less atmosphere - for better or worse.  We can bring our boy there and enjoy sushi without worrying about destroying the pomp of a higher-cost establishment.  BUT... those other Sushi restaurants are kinda neat.

In short:  I've been to them all around here.  For the average Oklahoma sushi eater you will not miss anything in quality at Sushi Train.

Oh, and if you ever want Blackened Salmon, go to Tsunami.

Memories of Japan by all means.  In the Raw is a bar with food service.
It's hard being a Diamond in a rhinestone world.

Asahi Japanese Restaurant at 71st & Memorial   mmmmmmm

I like cheap sushi!

In The Raw is actually pretty good, but you are fore-warned that they play annoying techno music louder and louder as the evening wears on at 61st & Sheridan.  Till you finally can't hear yourself.

Is the Fuji's on Brookside still there?  That was not a bad experience.

I have had incredibly inattentive service at Tsunami's downtown the last couple of times I went- the last time we sat at the Sushi bar- go figure.  Friends have been complaining as well.

Sushi Train is pallateable, it's more of a "hoot" factor to take one of my food snob friends there.

So, since I've written off ITR on 61st and Tsuanmi's I need to start looking elsewhere.
