Got out the other day when we had our brief snow. I had been wanting to catch a few of the Gothic style buildings and homes while it was snowey because, well, they just look best that way.[8D] Glad I went after lunch while it was snowing because by the time it got dark a lot of the snow had already melted lol. Way this year is going I may have to wait till next year to do another round of snow photos.

If the pics you see are small you should be able to click on the pics to see them a bit larger.

A few I took last year.

One of these days I will do a "Homes and Mansions of Tulsa" photo thread. But I still have a ways to go to collect a good sample of decent pics. There is another forum where people post pics of their cities homes and mansions. From what I have seen so far Tulsa can skunk most cities in the US. Even cities 3 or 4 times our size are hard pressed to come up with a roster of as many beautiful homes as we have here.

Bravo, Artist! [:P]

A few things:  I need to know the location of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th and 6th houses.  I've been on a Homes of Tulsa photography kick lately and would like to find these beauties. [^]

And I completely agree with the huge number of such wonderful homes in Tulsa compared to much, much larger cities.

A few of these remind me of Bel-Air... but better [;)]

Now those are definitely NOT McMansions! Hawt.

Actually.... The first two and the 6th are "Mc Mansions". Yes those are some of the "horrid infill" homes that some people rail about. No historic homes were torn down to make way for the new ones in those pics. The little "gothic" row houses, under the Harwelden pic, are also new. Imo people ought to be a bit more careful about making blanket statements. Newer "Mc Manisons" can be just as beautiful and appropriate as their older cousins. I ran across this phrase a while back that I like which speaks to the subject..."Context Sensitive Infill".

Cancel my need to find house #2.  It's right over by the Westby House.

The sixth house reminds me of the house in Beverly Hills where the Beverly Hillbillies resided.

I wonder if the residents look anything like this:

Thanks for the pics Artist - I feel so cosmopolitan living within a couple miles of those. [^]
