I figured everyone else would have got their photos online before me? Either that or I have overlooked where everyone is posting their pics.[:D]  It was great getting to meet a few of the people on here that I hadn't seen before. For some reason I thought Cannon Fodder was some stubborn old stogie and have been giving him quite a hard time on some threads. Little did I know he is just a "wet behind the ears" kid. From the looks of it, probably about oh... 12, give or take a year or two.[8D] Now I feel bad for being impatient and rude at times. The meeting after the tour had some interesting ideas come up. I hope we can follow up on a few of them, like the downtown restaurant guide and the lecture/speaker ideas.

Anywoo, here are a few pics that I took. At least the ones where DScott wasn't in the way.[:P]

More pics at the link above.  Also, the brand-spankin' new TulsaNOW Flickr group is in the aforementioned thread as well (shout out to sgrizz for putting it together).

And it was nice to finally meet you, Artist!

Woot, thanks Artist!

But you were right, we beat you to it:

But we may be better served with a couple threads as these are sure to grow in size (Kb wise).

BTW: You got GREAT pictures of the skyline, with the people in them it adds an awesome sense of scale.

Bah!  My profile says my age, I've got a kid in TPS, and I just posted today that I mostly had CDs in my music collection.  I'll assume you associated my maturity level with being much older and wiser (oh man, I'm telling my wife that one when she gets home). At least I know you're not stalking me - or you're not very good at it anyway. [:P]  Oh well, it isn't the first time I've been accused of looking young, nor will it be the last I suppose (new user Lil Bit was giving me crap and I just met her tonight!).

Maybe I should take up smoking to age myself like a fine smoked meat.  Conan said something or other about that being a good idea if I remember correctly.

Anyway, fear not on hurting my poor little feelings.  You have never been rude or insulting and I expect no additional patience, 12 year olds need to learn how to behave somehow... you "old men" may as well teach me.  [}:)]

It was great meeting everyone and I hope to make it to more real world functions in the future.  Someone start a "things to follow up on thread" tomorrow when we're coherent again (I have a couple projects I'd like to suggest also).

Hey!  That's completely uncalled for... I can't even find myself annnnywhere in those pics [:P].
I'll get all my pics up when my DSL starts working again.  For some reason, the wireless always works but the landline doesn't.  So, my desktop (which has all the pictures) isn't connected, but my laptop is. [:(!]

And I went walking around downtown after the meeting and got some more shots.

It was nice to meet you all, and it was fun to try and guess (only in my head, of course) who was who. [^]

Regarding the flickr group... I've added 1185 Tulsa pics. [^][^][^]

Woot!  I'm famous!  So are a couple of my pictures.

Good job putting this together.

Any chance of someone having the time to edit it down to 10 minutes so we could post it on YouTube? It might be helpful to someone. Nothing against the current edit (GJ!) nor Google Video, but I think more people use and search YouTube.

Andrew Bryant was the one with the video camera, you might have to hit him up for that. I thought youtube had a file size limit and not a time one.

Quite a spectacle.

Wonder how big of a yawning hole will be blown in the city's annual operating budget by the new Arena when it finally opens, FIVE YEARS after voters approved the new tax in September 2003?

Remember the Billy-Bob sales pitch:  It's all about jobs!  They're usefulness exhausted, they've been disposed of by the local Oligarchy rulers.  But, we still have the tax until 2017....

Just the utility costs alone will be very pricey. We'll get to heat and cool that giant edifice even when it sits starkly empty....

Imagine refrigerating 24 x 7 x 365 the ICE below the Arena's gigantic floor, at what annual costs?

Note to stock Broker:  Buy stock in AEP.

Add the debt service on the Mayor's Borg Cube, and we may want to all move to Haskell to escape the coming tax increases.

Remember, Mayor Taylor is a High Maintenance woman.  Ask her husband, and his ex-wife.

But, it's all about APPEARANCES, right?

Not all about PRIORITIES.....???

Driven the sad state of the city streets lately?

Nothing that $1.6 billion in more taxes won't fix, right?

Well, at least we have an Iconic Arena as a consolation prize.

And, no KAISER RIVER TAX.

Yet.

This friendly bear is distressed that the State of Oklahoma will soon issue hunting permits on his black bear cousins.

Who's next?

Smokey Bear's mother??
