I thought we should issue a new welcome. The last thread got off-topic. We have had ten new people join in the last 24 hours.

I am part of the unofficial, yet highly respected Welcome Wagon to TulsaNow.

Feel free to lurk, but posting is what makes this forum go. Your views are needed for many reasons including to serve as a dilution or verification of the many extremists who post on this bulletin board.

We need more comedy, especially snarky comments, and more posters who are willing to do the research to back up their opinions.

The topics vary widely as you can see. If you have lived here a while, your memories will make us old-time Tulsans smile. If you are involved in the development industry, please share your inside knowledge of what is coming soon.

This has been a great source of information for the regular readers. I have found in-depth plans for road projects, shopping centers and press conferences before they happen. We have threads that include live information from radar weather maps to web cams to on-line bloggers. I often read it here before I see it on the evening news or the morning paper.

Welcome to TulsaNow. Tell your friends and jump on in too. Threads can be posted into e-mails easily as well. You can register and keep your identity completely secret from everybody or can you let us know all about you.

The new media now, TulsaNow.
Power is nothing till you use it.

As another new recent TulsaNow member of the past couple months or so, I can say that this forum is what I have been looking for the past several years and I'm glad to have found it!

Well we're glad to have you!  Hmm, I guess you're part of the "we" now.  So, umm, I hope you're glad to have you to.  Or something.

I hope everyone feels free to contribute.  The politics area gets a little heated and everyone has strong opinions, but generally things stay civil.  If you're opinion is wrong, I'll let you know - but I won't hate you for it.  [}:)]

I am always glad to see us getting new members.  I had wondered why we don't get more though[:(]

Very helpful folks here, and they tend to be quite entertaining as well.

Welcome and enjoy the crazies...I mean members who make up this board[:D]

P.S.  I guess I'm one of the crazies too.[:O]

I'll agree with the 'unofficial', but must question the 'highly respected' part of that welcome wagon.

We have 70 new members so far in March with 3 days to go. I now run into people who ask me if I am the "guy who posts on TulsaNow?". One guy in an elevator said "I was the funniest guy on the internet" (he probably had been drinking. A lot of people laugh at me when they have been drinking...).

Things are going well for our online forum, but we still need more quality posters. A library is only as good as its number of books. Tell your friends, especially the smart and funny ones to join in.

Entertainment now. TulsaNow.

WOW, we are growing that fast.  Excellent. Now we just need to get some of you new members, welcome one and all, to start posting. We do have a lot of fun in these here parts, we don't always agree, but that is part of the fun.  And new ideas, visions and expressions are welcome.

I read Tulsa Now every day.  I am hoping for some exciting topics to make snarky comments about.  The pond seems a tad calm lately.  But, it is spring, there are tornadoes in the area, perhaps excitement is coming!!!

Snarky comments on this forum?  What?  [;)]

I found it by accident! Actually I am opening a new business on 15th and Harvard "Harvard Meats" and I googled the name to see if my ads were posting and I noticed a thread where people were talking about Harvard Meats. I'm not even open yet! This is my first time on a blog and so far it has been a great ride seeing what local are discussing..This is great!

I suppose I should make an appearance here.  Still too out of it this early in the morning to make a quirky remark, so I guess this will have to do

Afternoon  all :) Kind of new here been a reader for years might have even been a member at one time but don't know my username nothing came up with any of my emails so who knows. I am a small business owner and an opinionated person so I though I could network and vent all at the same time.

Anyway look forward to seeing you all around the boards. Oh and how does one get on the list to go to these Tulsa Now lunches?
Thank you,
Robert Town

Conan71

Robert, welcome aboard.  Anyone is welcome to attend forum lunches and happy hours.  We will make a public announcement on the forum when the next one is sometime soon as we are slightly overdue, I believe.
