Thanks to everyone that helped.

So far I love Tulsa!! It's nice to be close to a city again and have things to do.

Only downer here are your lack of groceries stores. No Giants, Safeways or Food Lions.

But again....this place rocks

mv_princess, the closest dog park is in Oklahoma City near Lake Hefner.  And yes, we enjoy Cheeseburger in Paradise.  However, I don't eat burgers.  I just go for the drinks.

As far as grocery stores, or the lack of, I blame Homeland for running the local grocery industry into the ground, and allowing Wal-Mart to corner the rest of the market.

Reasor's in Tulsa is okay, Food Lions was in OKC and Tulsa but that was years ago, so was Safeway.  Your best bet is SuperTarget.  In any case, Tulsa is a great place, and I know you will do great there.  Hope you enjoy your visit.

Best movie theaters -

Circle Cinema - Indies, foreign, documentaries and a lot of times with the directors at the first showing to talk about the movies.  There is a new coffee shop, Ailse Momo on the corner from there.

Southroads AMC - besides first run Hollywood stuff, they have indies and foreign movies also.

Everything else is your typical mall theaters.

Although there are a couple of second run discount theaters if you don't want to pay full price and can wait to see the movie.

When I first moved here I missed the Publix's that are in Florida.  Over time I have made adjustments and like Reasor's, Petty's, and Whole Foods.  Sometimes I will go down to Supertarget if I am stocking up on things like cleaning supplies.  The two configurations of Wal-mart groceries we have here are just not my place to find things I need nor are they responsive to bringing in special requests like Reasor's and Petty's are.  Akins is another natural foods store to find hard to locate organic items.
