Why not shop Target? Unless of course you are going to use one of the "Tulsa Grocery Delivery"  services.

I went to an Orientation and found out how detailed Target is when it comes to a secure facility. Lets say you have a red purse and you leave it on isle five with cash coming out of it.

Target's camera's or so fine tuned that if 20,000 people walked by the purse in a five day time period and on the fifth day it was stolen by person number 18,909. It would remeber the purse being removed.

Not only that it can rewind back to the spot within 30 seconds and pinpoint the time and date show the person, and targets security can watch them  get their approx. height, weight, car tag id.  Within a few min.

With there prescriptions, you can have five people in one household to get a prescription filled on the same day.  Target has the bottles color cordinated for each person. No one takes the wrong medicine. (Mine has a green ring yours has a red ring)

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

I do like target's prescriptions bottle their design, labeling, and the color coding a lot.

To my knowledge Target treats their employees better, I've never heard of target buying life insurance policies on the employees they thought would be the soonest to die. I've known people who've worked at both target and walmart at low-end jobs and none of the wal-mart people stayed. Vacation was always denied, they would force you to work jobs you weren't hired for (or paid at the level of), etc. I also support Target's no soliciting policy because I don't want to be harassed by girl scouts and kids stopping me at the door for money for "mission trips." The last thing I like about Target in comparison is that may products at wal-mart, even if they have a brand name on them, are wal-mart specific versions. A coworker had a bar code scanner and scanned all of his stuff after a trip to wal-mart just to play with the scanner. Around half of the items were using barcodes  registered to walmart. Upon inspection he found out things as petty as name-brand masking tape were being sold in slightly smaller  sizes than the comparable rolls at target and home improvement stores. Home Depot would have a 250ft roll for $2.50 and WM would have a roll that looks the same for $2.40, but it would only have 220ft on it.

That being said, Target customer sevice is no better than walmarts and while they usually seem better staffed, it is usually by younger, often lazier, people.

Amen to that.  Sams is the worst, they hide under that awning and as soon as you've blown $200 on extra size stuff, and get the OK to leave from the senior citizen reciept checker peering into your cart, and you leave, all of a sudden it's "HELP SEND US TO KENYAAAAA!"

ETA: But there is a sweet old man at WM in Bixby that  gives my kids smiley stickers every time.[:)]  All my

While I like their no soliciting policy, I do miss the bell ringers around Christmas.

you don't have to go far to find another one.  The past few years it seems like they are at every mall, grocery, retail entrance.  It almost makes you feel like you are being harassed by them or something.

We shop at target because of the impression of cleanliness and their class. Most of the time Walmart looks like a rummage sale.

That's why I no longer shop at Target. They do not allow the Salvation Army on the premises. (at least they used to)

oh, you mean like the long haired cashier with multiple piercings wearing an untucked brown stained t-shirt and a red hoodie (I guess wearing anything red qualifies as a target uniform)?  Yeah target shows real class [}:)]

oh and bub, if you are going to a big box discount chain based on image (yours and theirs), you sorely need a wakeup call.

I don't think Target has anything against the salvation army but I am sure when they did allow them, they received alot of complaints about it.  Therefore hurting their bottom line.  If you want to donate to the salvation army go to the other hundreds of bellringers they have around the city.  I am not a fan of Target, although my fiancee loves to shop there so I am known to patronize them but I applaud Target for not allowing them on the premise.

I am not a Walmart hater, you know this.

HOWEVER.  I needed a new hunting license as well as some provisions to go camping a few weekends past.  It is simplest to go to the Mart to get these things.  About 10am I headed that way.

IT WAS A DAMN ZOO!  Questionable people.  Way over crowded.  Things all disheveled.  Long waits at the service counter (for hunting license and ammo) and then rudeness when I get there.

Going down one crowded aisle I commented to one lady "traffic jam in here!"  To which she replied "Hell yeah, it da first of da month... wake up wake up, get yo check and come ohn." And she broke out dancing like a rap video.

Seriously.  That really happened.  Just like that.

The moral of the story is to avoid Walmart on the first of the month and weekends that immediately follow them.  Especially if the two collide.   I never thought of such things.

The horror.

well bud, sounds like you are going to the wrong wal-mart.  Don't go to wal-marts in the ****ty parts of town as they reflect their local clientele.
