Med-X is out at 31st/Harvard and Delta Cafe has (thankfully!) left Brookside.

What is going into each of the vacated spaces?

FOTD

A festaurant at Delta....not certain who.

Med X will most likely get subdivided into mom and pops like franchises.

I noticed the old Hal Smith fish joint is being gutted at 71st and Yale behind Mickey D's. It's a big place. And I bet it's restricted from steak house useage.

The stakes are up at 61st and Yale in front of the Doubletree meaning Ruth Chris must be a done deal....

I think Breadburner said a Mexican restaurant is going in where Med-X left.  I noticed a large yellow sign in the window this weekend, but didn't bother to drive up and read it.

Ooo, I hadn't heard that.  That's a pretty big deal.

That might explain why I've been hearing commercials for Ruth's Chris on the radio lately.

Breadburner

The sign says "MED-X has moved, you'll have to go an extra 100ft for your prescriptions now"

Despite previously mentioned progress, the only modifications so far are a smashed-in window.

So many? 2? I don't consider McGills a steak house. Who else?

uh mahogany, and yes McGills is a steak house, as is charleston's...all of those places are the same to me....overpriced food and mediocre steaks.

Can't speak for Mahogany's as I've never eaten there.  I feel the value is there with McGill's and Charleston's.  I've never had a bad meal either place and I think their pricing is realistic except for the drinks.

If you count those, you might as well add:

Warren Duck at 61st,
Green Onion, Steak & Ale, and Outback at 51st.

Hold on. Steak House to me refers to high end. Morton's et al. My favorite is Mahagony. The rest I would not put in the same category. Fleming's is the other high end steakhouse. Outback, Lone Star etc are today's Bonanza with beer .....

Anyone know what's going to happen to the old Blue Ocean or whatever the heck it was called by Charlestons on Yale? Drove by the other day and saw a 40 yd dumpster and some of the window trim being removed around a few of the windows.
