Any word on when he's going to open and/or have some suds available?

I checked the Web site, and it hasn't been updated in weeks.

I'm getting mighty thirsty.

Still waiting on a few electrical tie ins and we were waiting on water on our part.  I'll ask our foreman and see if he's got an idea.

I'd bet he's still a month out.  It's been one nit-picky detail after another.  Give that man a medal for wanting to do this in Tulsa.

Is it just me or shouldn't we strive to make it easy to do business in our city/state/country?

It is anything but!  Just to RUN a business that complies with the different levels of government compliance - never mind insurance, payroll, and then actually DOING business.

When this is all up and running..... somebody needs to buy this guy a few trips to Tahiti for the trouble it sounds like he is going to. Aaaaaahhh I can't wait!!

Hello Tulsa Now forum users, a friend told me there was a post on here inquiring about the status of the brewery.  I just wanted to jump on here real quick and tell you all that I am getting very close to beginning production.  My electricians are wrapping up their end of things and I have a couple of other small details to work out and a final city inspections and we will be good to go!

I have spent the last two days testing pumps and lines and everything seems to be working just fine, which is good news to me.  My German buddy is coming back soon to officially do the start-up and hopefully there will be no looking back from then on!  Thank you all for your interest and hopefully you will be enjoying my beer very soon.

Woohoo!

cannon_fodder

Thanks a ton Eric.  Both for the update and an advanced thank you for the beer.  Be sure to let us know where we can get our hands on it!  What types of brews do you plan on putting out (ale, lager, light dark, all of the above?)?

Our of curiosity, how has the city been?  Have they made it easy to get into business or somehow otherwise?

OK so I'll be the first... what would it take to get a private TulsaNow brewery tour? :) From what I understand there can be no tasting, etc.. I don't care. I'd love to see it!

no tasting?  That sucks (sometimes this state drives me nuts).  But if you left us in a room with all sorts of tasty treats - bubbles bubbles everywhere but not a drop to drink.  You could trust us and leave for a few minutes.  [;)]

Just watch out for those sharp fan blades at the top of the room, Charlie!

Thanks to everyone who continues to check back on this site! I have been unreal busy trying to get loose ends tied up and get things rolling, but happy to report that we should be brewing by the end of next week (April 25, 2008)! Assuming city approval and my occupancy permit, you all should expect beer around the "teens" of May. Please spread the word and drink my beer!

I think the brewery is a rebuilt warehouse around 7th and Utica. Dunno if anybody will actually get access, guess we have to wait and see!
