hit the "beerfest" in front of mcnellies last night it was great...
left hand and choc and a few others on tap...
but we were thrilled to see marshall there...

tried the mcnellies pub ale- very good, a medium amber, premium bitter in a classic british style, very drinkable... and had several... the first one makes you want the next that much more...

also had their sundown wheat- it was excellent, a golden american unfiltered wheat with a nod to classic belgian witbiers... just a hint of coriander, orange and yeast banana esters without coming off too floral... very refreshing... and most importantly, the wife loved it...

absolutely freaking impressive beer made by some really nice guys... i cant wait to be able to get this regularly...

Drink Local.

Bruno is quite a beer connoisseur. I just pour it down too fast to taste any of that.

What does the beer taste like? Beer.

I tried making my own beer for a while. It was like making soup and then waiting weeks to enjoy it.

I have tried lots of different beers at Caz's and McNellie's. When I travel, I always try as many local brews as I can.

My problem is that I just don't drink very much. I like the flavor of all of them, just wish that they came in smaller portions. I wish you could buy beer in four ounce portions.

One of my favorite Tulsa events is Wild Brew, held each summer at the fairgrounds. I tried a couple of ounces of at least two dozen beers last year.

Order the beer flights at McNellies.  You get to try six different beers in four-ounce glasses.  My favorite is the Belgian flight.

I am going there tomorrow after work. Thanks!

At Blue Dome Fest on Sunday I had the chance to try two Marshall beers...got there just as they announced free beer til the end of the show (45 minutes)!!!  If only I was 20 years younger they would have had to pry me off the taps.

Both beers were great but the wheat was a better match for the warm weather.

I tasted an English Bitters at the Blue Dome on Friday and thought it was very nice.
