Is Bill trying to ruin Hillary's chances?

In the past, there have been a lot of speculation that Bill Clinton's major faux pas in his wife's campaign were perhaps deliberate, and that he did not want her to succeed:

Most of this has been on Huffingtonpost, an obviously pro-Obama website, so I haven't given it too much consideration.  Yet, this past weekend, I really have started to wonder.  What else could explain Bill Clinton bringing up the Bosnia trip again.  After all, most of the media had moved on, and Bill just reminded the media all over again.  His explanation was odd:

quote:
And some of them, when they're 60, they'll forget something when they're tired at 11 at night, too.

Forget that she didn't say it at night, and that she said it on several occassions.  He seems to be implying that Hillary is old and forgetful.  Um, how is she suppose to answer that 3 am phone, if she is confused at 11 pm?  For someone as politically astute as Bill, it's hard to believe that he would accidentally make so many mistakes in his wife's campaign.

I've heard this question posed a few times, and I have to conclude that the answer is no, Bill isn't trying to deliberately sabotage Hillary's chances.

There is another possibility that struck me a few days ago. It's that Bill suffered low-grade brain damage during his open-heart surgery a few years ago. This, regrettably, happens a lot more often than people think.

This doesn't mean that Bill's brains are scrambled to where he's a drooling idiot. But this was a guy who was known during his entire presidency for his ability to make quick, concise answers to complex questions. The number of dumb mistakes he's made during his wife's campaign leads me to believe he might have lost his mental edge a few years ago during that heart operation.

I have no direct evidence to support my contention. It's speculation. But the more this campaign wears on and the more Bill slips up, I think my theory gains credence.

Rwarn, you could be right. He has screwed up during her campaign.

I'm not a Hillary supporter, but I have to give her respect for what she has endured during this campaign. She isn't giving up, and I DO admire her for that.
