Does anyone have any friendly advice on where to buy sod, what to buy, etc?  Mr. Kashmir will be putting it down, yard is already scalped and ready.  I only need about a 16 X 12 area for a side backyard that had a vicious scary crazy thistle growing.  I'm guessing for type just something serviceable and easy to maintain, cheaper the batter. (unlike the fescue in the front, Mr. K's third child)

Thank you all![8D]

Head to the sod capital of civilization (unsubstantiated) - Bixby.  Easton Sod or Green Acres have been around forever.  Both good.

I called Green Acres and they quoted $52 for 200 ft. Bermuda...(full Sun)  We had a nice tree shading the area but the ice storm demolished it!

Guess I need to go line the back of the jeep with trash bags...

May call Esaton and Steve's to compare, will report back.

I have bought sod from Easton and Green Acres before and they had the same price and quality. I do recommend zoysia. It grows well and requires a little less mowing.

People think I care about the whole earth, but I really only care about topsoil. It is because I am shallow.
Power is nothing till you use it.

Easton and Green Acres are both excelent recomendations...

Reporting back...we meant to go to Green Acres, but I screwed up with the address and we were on Memorial instead of Mingo, so we just went to Eastons, where they had the same amount for...$40!  SO I saved $12! [8D]
