You didn't source anything. Then I read the 4pm update from the TW.

Sometimes there simply are not enough face palms, Townsend.

I hope they find a dead body in his trunk soon or catch him toe-tapping.  I don't think Oklahoma's image can stand two years of this moron in Congress.

"That boy ain't right!"

District 2.  Not the sharpest knives in the drawer when it comes to vetting candidates, evidently.

True.  They elected Synar for several terms.

Yes. Then it got gerrymandered into Teadumbistan along with many similar district victims across this nation. Hence, turning the house into an impotent body of government. Scandalous. Just great having recalcitrant and obstinate lazy yahoos instead of the flexible and fair old guard.

RIP Mike Synar.

Tea Party Trashes Boehner's Capitol Hill Office
Jan. 07, 2013

Conservative members of the Tea Party raided House Speaker John Boehner's office over the weekend, destroying several thousand dollars worth of property and leaving behind giant bags of tea.

Capitol Hill police were at first stumped as to how the intruders gained entry, but soon came to realize that the incident had been an 'inside job' perpetrated by fellow members of Congress.

Representatives Louie Gohmert, Steve Pearce, Tom Massie, and Ted Yoho are suspected of carrying out the vicious teabagging, but a spokesperson from Boehner's office says he will not be filing charges in the name of "party unity".

Witnesses at the scene describe Boehner's office as "completely destroyed", with smashed picture frames, soiled carpet, and "shreds of paper and tea leaves everywhere." On the walls were several Tea Party slogans written in graffiti, including:

"TAXES ARE YUCKY"

"COMPROMISE IS FOR SOCIALISTS"

"WHERE'S THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE?"

"NANCY PELOSI HAS COOTIES"

"JUSTIN AMASH WAS HERE"

Boehner was narrowly re-elected Speaker last week with significant numbers of conservative Republicans affiliated with the Tea Party voting against him.

Several prominent conservative activists have called for his resignation, arguing his willingness to compromise over the fiscal cliff tax hikes makes him insufficiently conservative to hold the post of speaker.

You appear to have conveniently forgotten the gerrymandering that changed parts of north Bixby and (I think) S.E. Tulsa into District 2 when Jim Jones was losing his grip on District 1.   I never wished Synar any personal ill will but I was glad when we were returned to District 1.

Sucka.

Might as well have come from The Onion.

He also conveniently forgets after Coburn retired from the House that seat was occupied by two successive Democrats and still would be if Boren had not retired.

It was more than just a micro view of the Teaparty. My comments were centered on the fact that the dems got 1,000,000 more votes than the GOP but still have a minority.

How did we miss?

His family's getting threats apparently.

That's sad.

I wonder if it's an ex employee or a disgruntled customer. Liberals don't do this grumbling type of right wing tactics.

Untrue.  It permeates BOTH sides of the aisle and is wrong when either do it.  Hate the man's ideology, not the man.

But my brother sure doesn't like him.  He's done business with him, so I'll give him a pass there.

Yes his family got threats too and it's very sad & grim. Mullin is a very good level headed guy- we need more people like him. They say the threats are  serious and not like a prank. I only hope they catch the guy. All the best to Mullin as he starts off his new term and  I support him all the way!

Mullin's coming out sounding more and more as a crazy folk.

Talk is his chief of staff came up with a pitty ploy.
